Relative Scale developed interactive experiences and introductory films for the Akins-Ford Arena in Athens, GA in collaboration with the University of Georgia Libraries to celebrate the city’s rich music history. Visitors of all ages delightfully engage with exhibits and media as they walk around the concourse, learning and reminiscing about the Athens music scene.

Interactives & Media
Interactives include a multi-user touch table database of UGA’s Music Collections, two create your own band stations culminating in a final personalized performance at real-life Athens music venues, a music trivia interactive for visitors to compete head-to-head with a wall mounted leaderboard, and a large floor piano with free play and three preprogrammed play-along songs. The concourse also features three welcome videos with Cindy Wilson, of the B-52s, educating you on the city’s impact on music history, the UGA Collections, and memorable B-52s moments as well as two animated interstitials highlighting other Athens musicians and information to listen to the UGA Libraries specially curated Spotify playlists.
